Chuck’s semicuda

Chuck and I talked to Mopar Marty at Spring Carlisle and asked him if he had any 'cuda roofs and/or rear floor sections.  He thought that he did and he gave us a price for each.  His prices were very reasonable so we decided to plan a trip for the very next weekend.
On Saturday, April 29 2006 we made the trek to Campbelltown to Marty's yard.  We were told where every e-body was and we set out on our quest.  We found a couple of useable pieces on different cars, but there was a bare shell that had both pieces and was already stripped of most other parts.  It had already been cut aft of the firewall and through the middle of the rear wheel wells.  It was perfect and the price was fair.
Unfortunately, neither of us owns a trailer and Chuck wanted to take it home that day.  Marty obliged and proceeded to use a forklift to load the semicuda for us - on the back of Chuck's Ford Ranger.

Yes, the pics are real.  Yes, it was driven that way.  In fact, it was hauled all the way from Campbelltown, to my house in Shermans Dale, to our parents house in Carlisle, and finally to Chuck's house in CHAMBERSBURG!  The car was placed directly on top of the bed - no special jig or anything like that.  Did I mention that I'm glad I didn't offer to drive my truck?
Initially it was secured with 4 motorcycle straps - we later stopped at Wal*Mart on 322 and bought 4 more.  By the way, nobody was seriously harmed during this procedure!  Enjoy!!!
